- Adhere to the latest infection prevention guidelines,including those recommended by NHS England.
- Utilize dental instruments that are either single-use or undergo sterilization after each use.
- Decontaminate work areas, including the dental chair,handheld equipment, and cupboard handles, between patient sessions.
- Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene,including adherence to clinical clothing protocols and restricted wearing of jewelry.
- Regularly monitor and disinfect practice water, with dental unit waterlines disinfected and kept clear.
- Handle waste in accordance with current regulations and dispose of it using appropriate carriers.
- Seek expert advice if a team member may have a blood-borne infection. The team member undergoes an occupational health examination and follows advice regarding their role in patient treatment.
- Ensure that all team members are trained in safeguarding children and vulnerable adults, following regularly monitored and reviewed practice safeguarding procedures.
- Implement a clinical governance system utilizing integrated risk management to identify, assess, analyze, and manage all risks and incidents, with the goal of continuous improvement in our care and service to you.
The Practice Manager holds overall responsibility at Dental & Wellness. The team receives support through regular meetings,staff training, personal development initiatives, and frequent appraisals. We always welcome questions, comments, and suggestions from our valued patients.
